US Supreme Court backs same-sex adoption rights

The American Supreme Court has supported the adoption rights of same-sex parents. 

As our Washington correspondent John Clarke reports, the court has reversed a lower decision,  which had refused to recognize a same-sex adoption.

150 al-Shabab militants killed in US air strike

Pressure Groups Expand Efforts To Stop Donald Trump

Political action groups in the US are deploying new advertisements attacking Donald Trump in Florida and Illinois, as they try to stop the property tycoon from winning the Republican party's nomination to run for President.

Russian Athletic Federation says it will investigate new anti-doping allegations

The Russian Athletics Federation said on Monday that it would investigate new anti-doing allegations against Russian coaches, following a German documentary which revealed new violations.

North Korea threatens nuclear attacks over US military exercises

President Carter completes cancer treatment

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter told his weekly Bible study class, he has successfully completed treatment for cancer.

He'd been undergoing innovative immunotherapy treatment for melanoma - a form of skin cancer - which had spread to his liver and brain.

Results reshape Election 2016 in U.S.

The results of a series of weekend primaries and caucuses have yet again changed the course of the 2016 U.S. race to run for the White House.
