Donald Trump wins South Carolina Republican Primary

Donald Trump has won the South Carolina primary, with Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz just a few thousand votes apart in second place.

The results have also ended a campaign, with Jeb Bush announcing he's done.

For the billionaire, this is just the beginning.

Asian Americans protest Peter Liang conviction

More than 30 American cities witnessed protests by the Asian American community over the conviction of New York City police officer Peter Liang on charges of second degree murder.

His defence maintains, the death of  Akai Gurley, an African American civilian, was an accident...and the Asian American community say Peter Liang is a scape goat for deeper problems.

Bernie Sanders flies to South Carolina after Nevada Caucuses loss

Bernie Sanders couldn't quite overcome a 25-point deficit, narrowing losing to Hillary Clinton in the Nevada Democratic Caucuses.

Support for the Senator from Vermont remains especially strong among young people, but he's also won over some Latino voters.

Bernie Sanders thanked supporters, saying his campaign is the one to beat.

Hillary Clinton wins Nevada Caucuses

Hillary Clinton has won the Nevada Caucuses by a narrow margin over rival Bernie Sanders.

She is trying to emphasize that she knows what help the average and middle class American needs, even stealing a page from rival Bernie Sanders to appeal to young people.

Hillary Clinton thanked voters before flying to Texas for another rally.

Museveni wins Uganda's Election

President Yoweri Museveni has been declared winner of Uganda's elections for a fifth term.


The elections have been marred by violence and the European Union observer mission says it was full of intimidation.

Yoweri Museveni won Uganda's election by a 60% majority. 


Main Opposition candidate Kiiza Besigye followed with 35%.


Besigye was under house arrest when the results were being announced. 


The police says it was a measure to stop him from protesting the results.


There were no celebrations on the streets of the capital Kampala after Museveni's win was announced. 


Tension remains high in Kampala with the military and the police deployed…. 


On the streets, some Ugandans said the elections were fraudulent. 


Hours of delays during the the polling exercise left many frustrated leading to chaos in some parts of the city.


The European Union says the elections lacked transparency.


Museveni's in gives him a 5th term, making him one of the longest serving leaders in Africa.

British Prime Minister David Cameron has confirmed the UK will hold a referendum on EU membership in June this year.

It follows his securing of a reform deal at the European Union after marathon talks in Brussels.

Mr Cameron insists Britain's future lies within the EU, but eurosceptics are now beginning their campaign for a BREXIT.

UK Prime Minister on his EU Reform Package

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is returning to London with his EU reform package approved by the European Council.

The package includes cutting welfare benefits to EU migrants and a guarantee that the UK does not have to further integrate into the EU.

After the heads of state of all 28 countries came to a consensus, Prime Minister Cameron explained the reforms.

UN agencies deliver aid to thousands more in Syria

UK Prime Minister David Cameron's attempts to win an EU reform deal at a summit in Brussels have hit delays.

He'd hoped to be back in London on Friday selling the deal to his colleagues and the country.

Mr Cameron wants to change Britain's relationship with the EU and then campaign to stay a member of the bloc in an in-out referendum which could be held in June.

But in Brussels, he's run into opposition for some of his proposals.

US claims Islamic State cell targeted in Libya posed threat to national security interests

The Pentagon has confirmed that it launched a military strike in Libya aimed at killing the architect of two Islamic State attacks in Tunisia last year.

Police say Paris attacker hid in Brussels for 20 days
