A California hospital paid 17,000 US dollars ransom to a hacker who
seized control of the facility's computer systems, blocking patient
records and communication between staff. The recent attack has
prompted a California state senator to call for harsher punishments
for those leading similar hacking schemes. Patrice Howard reports from
Los Angeles.
