US sanctions top Islamic State officials

The U.S. Treasury has imposed sanctions on three top Islamic State officials.

It's another step toward cutting off the financing of the organization.

British Foreign Office comments on disappearance of HK Bookseller

The British Foreign Office has released a strongly worded statement on the case of bookseller Lee Bo, a British citizen, who is missing form Hong Kong.


The UK believes Lee Bo, known as Paul Lee is likely to have been involuntarily removed to China, something the Foreign Office is calling a serious breech of the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration.

Russia Calls For Geneva Talks following Syria Ceasefire Agreement

Clinton, Sanders Tackle Race In Latest Debate

The concerns of minority voters loomed large in the latest debate
between Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie
Sanders. It's the first time the two have met since the Vermont
Senator decisively beat the former Secretary of State in the New
Hampshire Primary just days ago.

Clinton and Sanders meet for first time since New Hampshire primary

NYPD officer guilty of stairwell killing

A Chinese-American police officer has been found guilty of the
manslaughter of an unarmed African America in a New York shooting.

NYPD officer Peter Liang shot Akai Gurley while on patrol in 2014, in

Morgan Stanley to pay US authorities $3.2 billion

Kerry and Lavrov agree "cessation of hostilities" in Syria

A ceasefire will go into effect in Syrian in approximately one week's time, according the US Secretary of State John Kerry.


He was speaking in Munich after talks with the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov.

Los Angeles Passes Bill To Tackle Homeless Crisis

Five months after declaring that homelessness in Los Angeles
California had reached emergency status, city leaders have passed a
1.87 billion dollar plan to help get an estimated 40,000 people off
the streets. Questions remain about where the money will come from,
but officials say Tuesday's vote marks the start of a new era for
fighting homelessness in the state.

The Zika virus is making more inroads into the United States, with two women suffering miscarriages confirmed as having the disease.





Tamir Rice’s family charged for ambulance ride

The family of Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old shot dead by police in Cleveland in 2014, has been charged for his ambulance ride to the hospital.

The city filed an invoice of $500 to the child's family.

Brazil And University of Texas Reach Zika Vaccine Deal
