Terror alert extended in Brussels

The Prime Minister of Belgium has extended a terror alert, saying there is a "serious and imminent" threat of an attack on the capital Brussels.

The city was locked down all weekend, and its educational institutions and public transport system will remain closed for at least another 24 hours.

The Radisson Blu hotel in Brussels was locked down amid a security operation - it's the sister hotel of the one attacked in Mali last week.

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, speaking here through an interpreter, says the threat to Brussels is very real.
