More Russian Plane Crash Victims Identified as Britain Suspends Sharm el Sheikh Flights


Over 50 of the bodies of passengers who were on board the Russian aeroplane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai desert last Saturday have now been identified.


It comes as the UK has suspended flights to the resort of Sharm el Sheikh, saying there's a possibility that the plane was blown up by an explosive device.

Stockholm calls on EU to help with huge number of refugees trying to resettle in Sweden

Sweden is asking the European Union to relocate asylum seekers to other member countries as it struggled to cope with the huge influx of refugees and migrants.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is hosting Egypt's President Sisi for talks in London, as Britain grounds its flights out of Sharm el-Sheikh over security concerns.

Denpasar airport reopens after Volcanic ash threat clears

Facebook earnings beat Wall Street estimates

Facebook has released earnings for the third quarter announcing that
over a billion people use the social media site every day.

And with revenue also beating Wall Street estimates- Facebook's
founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it a good quarter adding that
they got a lot done.

Cameron and Sisi due to hold talks a day after UK halts all flights to Sharm el-Sheikh


British Prime Minister David Cameron will hold talks with Egyptian President  Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Thursday at Downing Street, just a day after the UK halted all flights into the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh amid security concerns. 

British officials now say there is a "significant possibility" that an explosive device brought down the Russian Metrojet plane that crashed in the Sinai on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board.  From London, Catherine Drew reports.

Britain's Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond says the UK government now think's there is a "significant possibility" that an explosive device brought down the Russian Metrojet plane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsular on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board.

 Mr Hammond said Britons were being advised not to travel through Egypt's Sharm el-Sheikh airport.  It comes amid concerns lax security could have enabled a bomb to have been placed on the doomed Russian flight. 

Earlier Wednesday all British flights to and from the Red Sea resort were suspended. Irish authorities also put all flights to Sharm on hold.  

Reports from the US say intelligence sources there also believe a bomb brought down the Russian Airbus 321.  

Mr Hammond spoke after a top level security meeting in Downing Street chaired by Prime Minister David Cameron.

US INTEL RPTS: 'Bomb may have brought down Russian plane'


There is growing evidence that a Russian passenger jet which crashed last weekend in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula was the result of terrorism, US media reports.

US Intelligence officials believe ISIS or an affiliate were responsible for downing the flight in which all 224 passengers were killed.

Deutsche Bank fined $258m for violating US sanctions

German company Deustche Bank willl pay a $285 million fine to the
United States Federal Reserve for failing to uphold US sanctions
against Syria and Iran.

UN: Cyclone in Yemen worsens humanitarian situation

The United Nations estimates 40,000 people have been displaced after a
tropical cyclone made landfall in Yemen.

White House pressed over aviation security after Sinai plane crash


As the UK government expresses concerns Saturday's deadly plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula may have involved an explosive device - The US is being asked if it's airlines and citizens are at risk from potentially dangerous flight paths in the region.
