U.S. President Barack Obama is joining leaders from Canada, France, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom, for the G7 summit hosted by Germany.

Russia's agression toward Ukraine tops the agenda, but there's much to discuss in a short period of time.

New Dinosaur Species Discovered in Alberta, Canada

A new species of dinosaur as been discovered in Alberta, Canada.

The remains of the horned creature were uncovered along a riverbank, where it had been encrusted for 68 million years.

The discovery gives scientists new clues about the ancient animals.

Turkey goes to the polls

Turks are going to the polls in parliamentary elections and the vote is being seen as a referendum on President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The poll comes at a critical time for Turkey's relations, especially with the West.

There are lots of questions about how Turkey views the broader Middle East and its relationship with the Islamic State.

Robert Pearson is a former Foreign Service Officer who served as United States Ambassador to Turkey from 2000–2003.

White House wont confirm China involvement in massive data theft


One of the biggest data hacks in US history - that's how some experts have described the intrusion into the personal info of at least 4 million federal employees.

The White House Friday says no conclusions about who carried out the data theft had been reached and that an FBI investigation as underway.

US, Russia trade barbs at emergency UN meeting on new violence in Ukraine

As Ukraine says it has ousted rebels from the town of Maryinka -- the site of new fighting between government and rebel forces -- Moscow and the West traded accusations at the United Nations over who is to blame.

The bickering occurred during an emergency Security Council meeting on the Maryinka clashes that killed 28 people on Wednesday.

Edward Snowden claims victory in NY Times op-ed

Whistleblower, Edward Snowden, is claiming victory in his battle

Republicans vote to keep travel restrictions to Cuba

U.S. adds 280,000 jobs

The U.S. Labor Department is reporting the American economy created 280,000 jobs in May, but the unemployment rate ticked up a little bit to 5.5 percent.

The news is being welcomed by the Obama administration, but Wall Street is a little hesitant.

OPEC maintain oil production levels

Oil production by OPEC member states will be maintained at current levels despite low prices, a summit in Vienna has agreed.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries meeting in the Austrian capital has concluded amid divisions in the grouping about strategy.

Greece could face fresh elections if creditors don't compromise on debt deal

Far left factions within the Greek government say early elections could be called in the country's international creditors persist with their hard line in debt renegotiations.

Inflation in Russia slows

Inflation in Russia has slowed in May for the second month and prices for key foodstuffs have eased off amid hopes a spike in inflation may have passed.


But consumer prices remain much higher than a year before as Russia's economic downturn continues.

Boston terror suspect originally targeted controversial activist Pamela Geller
