UK POLICE ARREST TEEN OVER 'ANZAC PLOT'

British Police have arrested a teenaged boy in connection with allegations of a terror plot centred around World War One centenary events in Australia.

It follows the arrest of five teenagers in Melbourne which police there say was related to plans to target officers at an ANZAC memorial.

EU's Foreign Policy Chief Mogherini calls for European solidarity on migrant crisis

The EU's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini has called for Europe to share responsibility in dealing with the migrant crisis.

The high representative made the remark ahead of a crisis meeting with the EU's foreign and interior ministers in Luxembourg discussing the rising death toll of migrants crossing the mediterranean on overcrowded boats.

Hundreds of migrants are feared dead after a ship carrying more than 700 people capsized near Libya's coast, adding to a total of around 1600 lives lost so far this year.

Mrs. Mogherini said it is the European Union's moral responsibility to prevent further tragedy.

Australian Anzac Day terror threat

In Australia, Muslim community leaders have called for more help to combat Islamic State's campaign to encourage violence in Australia.
The call comes following raids at the weekend in Melbourne which resulted in the detention of three men who Police believe were set to attack police and bystanders at Anzac Day dawn services this Saturday.

European Union foreign and interior ministers are meeting in Luxembourg with the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean muscling out all other agenda topics.

A boat carrying around 700 migrants capsized off the Libyan coast over night on Saturday causing leaders from across the EU to call for greater combined action.

Germans protest TTIP

EU foreign ministers are meeting in Luxembourg with migrant deaths in the Mediterranean atop the agenda.

The latest boat to capsize on its way from Libya is thought to have been carrying 700 migrants - with only a few dozen believed to have survived.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi says the European Union must do more, and insists the priority should be to stop so many boats leaving Libya.

Up to 1500 migrants are feared to have drowned in the Mediterranean in 2015.

The UN Refugee Agency, the UNHCR's Barbara Molinario says more needs to be done to help migrants getting into trouble making the journey to Europe.

Greece Won't Budge, As Creditors Step Up Pressure for a Deal


Greece said it won’t budge on pledges to end austerity measures, despite pressure from creditors who continue to press for a compromise to avert an escalating crisis.

The Greek government hasn't yet come up with a list of reforms to satisfy the European Union it should receive the next tranche of bailout funds. And Athens has been forced to deny it is preparing to default as it runs out of cash to pay its bills.

But the government has to make a payment to the International Monetary Fund of around $1bn within weeks.

And economist Jeremy Cook of World First says the country is closer than ever to an exit from the eurozone.

Oklahoma City Marks 20th Anniversary of Terrorist Bombing


Hundreds gathered Sunday at the former site of the Oklahoma City federal building that was destroyed by a truck bomb 20 years earlier, to honor the 168 men, women and children killed in the blast. Russia denies pipeline deal with Greece

ISIS claim responsibility for bomb-attack near US Consulate in Iraq

The so-called Islamic State group is claiming responsibility for a car bomb that exploded near the U.S. Consulate in the northern Iraqi city of Eribil.  

At least 3 people were killed and several others were wounded.
