French far-right party accused of fraud

France's far-right Front National (pron: front nass-ee-on-al) party has been hit with fraud allegations for its operations within the European Parliament.

The party is accused of using EU tax payers money to fund the salaries of assistants who are doing work unrelated to the assembly.

"Apologists" should take responsibility for terrorism, says British Foreign Secretary

British foreign secretary Philip Hammond has said 'apologists' for those who commit acts of terrorism are partly responsible for the violence.
He also praised Britain's intelligence officers - after criticism from some quarters that they had mishandled the case of Mohammed Emwazi, who became known as Jihadi John.

Britain's Foreign Secretary is calling for a beefing up of security services - partly in response to an increased threat from Russia.

Philip Hammond is giving a major speech in London - accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of 'subverting' the global system of rules which maintain peace between nations.

Mr Hammond's criticism over Russian actions in Crimea and Ukraine comes as Moscow continues to deny having any troops over the border.

MISSING SYRIA SCHOOLGIRLS' FAMILIES TO TESTIFY AT WESTMINSTER

Relatives of three British schoolgirls believed to be in Syria with the Islamic State will testify before MPs at Wesminster later.

FRENCH ATHLETES DIE IN HELICOPTER CRASH

Three French athletes have been killed along with seven other people in a helicopter crash in Argentina.

Eight French nationals and two Argentine pilots died after a collision between two helicopters in the north west of the country.

The helicopters and passengers were involved in the filming of a reality TV survival show.

French President Francois Hollande has expressed his shock at the loss of French nationals including the sports personalities, who were well known in France.

Australian sheik dumped from Twitter - again.

Australian Self-proclaimed Islamic sheik Junaid Thorne has had his Twitter account suspended for a third time.

Clinton team mulling press conference
