White House Lashes Out Against Republican Letter to Iranian Leaders

A group of 47 US Senators has written an open letter to Iranian leaders, warning that any nuclear agreement could easily be rejected by the next US President.

The Republicans assert the power of the Senate to ratify agreements, though the White House says their letter oversteps their boundaries.

The Obama administration is negotiating alongside other nations to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapons capability, while international inspectors would monitor civilian enrichment.
