Rubio and Pope renew commitment to better US - Vatican ties amid rift with Trump

The US and the Vatican have committed to improving bilateral ties - after a fence-mending visit by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.  His trip to Rome comes amid President Donald Trump’s repeated broadsides against the leader of the Catholic Church who has urged for peace in the Middle East.
