The UK’s national security is ‘in peril’ according to a former NATO Secretary General.
George Robertson, author of the government’s Strategic Defence Review has accused Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government of showing a 'corrosive complacency towards defence'.
His criticism follows repeated delays to the 10 year investment plan to fund the SDR, which aims to move the British military to 'war-fighting readiness'.
Robertson has warned that the UK can't be defended with an 'ever expanding welfare budget.'
Former defence secretary John Hutton says the state of Britain's Armed Forces is 'pretty woeful'.
