ENGLAND REGULATOR WILL FINE UNIVERSITIES IF THEY DON'T PROTECT FREE SPEECH

England's university regulator will be given powers to fine institutions that don’t uphold free speech, as the British Government tries to foster “robust debate” in the country’s top educational institutions.

The regulator says it’s received too many examples of academics being put under pressure over their religious, ideological or gender-critical views.
