UK Works To Contain Deadly Meningitis Outbreak

The UK is working to contain a deadly meningitis outbreak that has killed two people in the South of England.

An urgent public health alert has been issued, following the outbreak in Kent, which is thought to have originated in a nightclub in the city of Canterbury, and has led to the deaths of two students.

Thousands of students are being offered vaccination.

Consultant Virologist Doctor Chris Smith says it's a significant outbreak:

IN: We've had…

OUT: …when you don't.
