Israeli cabinet removes head of internal security service despite mounting protests

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet has approved the dismissal of the head of the internal security service, Shin Bet.

The move follows several days of protests, with demonstrators saying the decision to fire Ronen Bar is politically motivated.
