US President Donald Trump has suggested that “people want to buy TikTok” and that it’s “going to stay around.”
He made the comments during his first one-on-one TV interview since he re-took the White House earlier this week.
Unless TikTok's Chinese owner Bytedance sells the app to a buyer from America or one of its allies in the next 10 weeks, it'll become unavailable in the United States following a bill passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court, which cites concerns over data and spying.
