RADIO: EASTERN DRC PROTESTS

Dozens of people have taken to the streets of Beni in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo to protest against the extension of a state of siege by lawmakers. Under the security measure, the government has replaced civilian leaders with the military and granted them the power to arrest suspects without charge.
