US journalist Evan Gershkovich has been sentenced to 16 years in Russian prison for espionage - accusations he, his employer and the US government vehemently denied. The case hearing process lasted only 2 days. Gershkovich did not plead guilty. The verdict could set the stage for a prisoner exchange between Moscow and Washigon.
