US President Joe Biden has told the American people that "the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation," just days after he withdrew his re-election bid.
In a primetime address from the Oval Office — his first publicly televised remarks since bowing out of the 2024 Presidential race — Joe Biden offered a defence of his record, but said it's time for "new, fresh, younger voices," throwing his support behind his Vice-President Kamala Harris as she aims to win the White House.
