US central banks keeps interest rate unchanged and hits at just one future cut

The US Federal Reserve says it intends to bring down interest rates by the end of the year — but only once, quashing any expectations of much sharper cuts.


The country's central bank left borrowing costs on hold between 5.25%-5.5%, a 23-year high.
