FARAGE OFFERED EXTRA SECURITY

Leader of the Reform UK Party Nigel Farage has been offered additional private security by the country's Home Office.

It comes after the right-wing party leader had objects thrown at him during a campaign visit to Barnsley on Tuesday.

A man's been charged over that incident.

Mr Farage was also hit by a milkshake in Essex last week.

Former Labour home secretary Jacqui Smith is chair of the Jo Cox Foundation.
