Students in the Belgian city of Gent are marking the Nakba anniversary
with fresh demonstrations on campus.
Nakba means catastrophe in Arabic and is a term used to describe the
mass expulsion of Palestinians from what is now Israel 76 years ago.

Protestors in Gent and a number of universities across Europe and the
U.S. have been calling on their institutions to sever ties with Israel
over its war in Gaza.
