India's food safety regulator allows higher pesticide residue level in certain spices

India's food safety regulator has defended its move to allow ten times more pesticide residue in some locally made spices and herbs. 


This comes as Indian authorities are testing samples of spice brands after many countries flagged contamination in products made by two firms.
