Houthi rebel group offers places at Yemeni universities for suspended US students

A US-designated terrorist organisation is offering places at universities in Yemen for students who've been suspended from American colleges after staging anti-Israel protests.

In a remarkable move, the Iran-backed Houthi militia — which made headlines for disrupting global shipping in support of Palestinians in the Gaza conflict — is now presenting educational opportunities for those punished for participating in demonstrations on campuses in the United States.

Police have arrested more than 1000 people stateside after protests and Gaza solidarity encampments took hold at major schools nationwide, with students and staff demanding a boycott of companies or individuals with ties to Israel.
