Whistleblowers slam Boeing's safety record in Congressional hearing

A whistleblower who works at the American aerospace manufacturer Boeing has told US lawmakers that some of its planes are at risk of "dropping to the ground" unless major safety issues are immediately addressed.

Engineer Sam Salehpour testified on Wednesday in front of a Congressional committee, warning hundreds of people could lose their lives due to an issue on one of Boeing's most popular fleets.

Benji Hyer has been following the hearing on Capitol Hill.
