India's poll body has dismissed reports that some electronic voting machines being used in the country's election process are prone to malfunctioning.
This comes after reports suggested that during a mock poll drill in the southern state of Kerala, electronic voting machines erroneously recorded votes in favour of Prime Minister Modi's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
Voting in the two-month long election began on Friday, with Modi widely expected to win when results are announced in June.
