The United Nation's weather agency has warned that the world's efforts
to reverse the effects of climate change have been inadequate.
According to the World Meteorological Organization in its "State of
the Global Climate" report released on Tuesday, 2023 saw
record-smashing increases in greenhouse gases, land and water
temperatures and the melting of glaciers and sea ice.
It says there is a "high probability" that 2024 will be another record-hot year.
UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres says this latest Climate report
shows a planet on the brink.
