India's Supreme Court asks govt to respond to over 200 petitions challenging new citizenship law

India's Supreme Court has asked the federal government to respond to a batch of over 200 petitions challenging the new citizenship law, within the next three weeks.

The petitioners say this law doesn't comply with India's secular constitution, but the Supreme Court has refused to put a stay on its implementation.
