RWANDA LEGISLATION RETURNS TO UK PARLIAMENT

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's flagsip Rwanda migration legislation returns to Parliament later (Tuesday).

There will be votes on a series of proposed amendments to the bill, which would see some asylum seekers sent to Rwanda for the processing of their claims.

The Prime Minister faces a House of Commons rebellion as some Conservative MPs want the legislation toughened - others worry it breaches international obligations.

Conservative MP Damian Green acknowledges there is division in the governing party over how to bring illegal immigration down.
