UNSC: Root causes of conflicts must be addressed

UN Security Council members are debating the link between development
and sustainable peace.
China, who currently holds the council presidency, says it's
imperative that the root causes of conflicts be addressed.
The debate comes at a time when the conflict in Gaza enters its seventh week.
