Ukraine commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Euromaidan protests on Tuesday. The uprising was sparked off ten years ago when then Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych chose not to sign a political association agreement with the EU, and instead chose closer ties to Russia. Although today Kyiv has come ever closer to joining the European Union, their fight against Russia's influence continues.
