Russian court rejected the appeal of the Wall Street Journal's reporter Evan Gershkovich against extending his pre-rial detention until Aug. 30. He's been detained in Russia in March on espionage charges that he vehemently denies. The U.S. Embassasy in Russia insists the journalist was "wrongfully detained" and accused Moscow of conducting "hostage diplomacy".
