New York City Mayor, Eric Adams is urging all New Yorkers with
underlying respiratory conditions to remain indoors.
The city is currently engulfed in unhealthy smog as a result of the
wildfires in Canada.
According to Adams and his health team, this is the worst air quality
dip since the 1960s and has warned citizens to mask up.
City officials say the fine particles currently in the air can get
into people's lungs, cause inflammation and worsen conditions like
asthma, chronic lung disease.
