Number of Japan students reporting depression doubles

The number of students in Japan reporting signs of depression has doubled since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, suggesting the country's social loneliness problem is worsening.  

It comes as the government passes a new law aimed at battling loneliness and reclusiveness.
