Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has suspended the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, indefinitely over allegations of abuse of office levelled against him.
The suspended EFCC boss was taken into custody of the Department of State Security for questioning shortly after his suspension was announced.
This move comes barely a week after the president suspended the country's Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, over fraudulent activities.
