The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the re-opening of the Seme land border for the importation of vehicles.
The Seme border is between Benin Republic and Nigeria.
The government had ordered the closure of land borders in 2019 to curb smuggling of food products, especially rice, movement of arms it believed fuelled insecurity, and petrol.
