Ahead of Prime Minister Modi's state visit to the US later this month, the Biden administration has said its partnership with India is 'one of its most consequential' bilateral relationships.
Meanwhile, the two countries have finalised a roadmap for defence industry cooperation, a move expected to bolster New Delhi's defence manufacturing ambitions.
Prime Minister Modi has said he wants India to become the world's largest base for defence manufacturing. Currently, India is the world's largest importer of arms.
