US denies involvement in Kremlin drone attack

The US has denied Russian claims that Washington was behind a drone
attack in Moscow, calling the allegations "lies".

It comes after Russian authorities said they had downed two drones
over the Kremlin, claiming Ukraine was trying to assassinate Russia
president Vladimir Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the US was "undoubtedly" behind
the attack, with Kyiv carrying out Washington's orders.

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters at
the White House Washington had played no part in the incident.
