Stocks higher again on hopes of a debt ceiling deal

U.S. stocks ticked up on Thursday as confidence grows that lawmakers
can reach a deal and avoid the country defaulting on its debt.

And debates swirl over whether the Federal Reserve will continue to
raise interest rates to curb inflation.
