Moscow and Minsk signed a deal on Thursday to allow Russian nuclear weapons on Belarussian territory.
The Russian Defence Minister says this is in response to a "sharp escalation of threats on the western borders of Russia and Belarus".
The Iskander-M missiles will carry 'tactical' nuclear warheads, which means ones designed for the battlefield rather than as a strategic deterrent.
