No plans to lift sanctions against China's defense minister

There are no plans afoot to lift the sanctions against the Chinese
Defense Minister.
At least, that's according to the State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.
His comments contradict those of President Joe Biden though.
The US Defense Secretary was set to meet with the Chinese Defense
Minister in Singapore next month, but China has turned down that
request.
