US Senator Tim Scott has become one of the highest profile republicans to potentially challenge former president Donald Trump for the GOP nomination in the 2024 presidential race.
He's announced that he is launching a presidential exploratory committee which allows him to raise money for a campaign, to cover costs before he makes a final decision.
