The UK government says it won't go back into pay talks with nursing unions unless planned strikes are called off.
The Royal College of Nursing has rejected a five per cent pay rise and is calling on the government to re-enter negotiations.
Ministers insist a fair offer has been made and a fresh nurses' strike for the end of the month should be cancelled.
