The CEO of TikTok has been defending the Chinese app in front of US
lawmakers, amid a push to ban it in the US and other countries.
Shou Zi Chew's [SHOW ZEE CHOO] appearance before a US House of
Representatives' committee comes amid concerns American users' data is
being shared with the Chinese govt.
Both Democrats and Republicans are considering banning the app across
the US arguing it poses a national security risk.
Chew spoke about TikTok's parent company ByteDance.
