UNSC adopts first Myanmar resolution

The United Nations Security Council has passed a resolution calling
for the immediate end to violence in Myanmar.

A military coup in February last year led to violent crackdowns on
pro-democracy protests and the arrest of the country's leader Aung San
Suu Kyi.
