UK GOVERNMENT PROVIDES £105M TO TEST FOR RARE CONDITIONS IN BABIES

The UK government has set aside £105m to fund a three-year DNA sequencing programme that aims to identify, much earlier, a number of rare genetic conditions in children. 100,000 newborns in England will be able to take part in the study that health experts hope will allow those that need treatment to access it more swiftly.
