Thousands of ambulance staff have gone on strike across England and Wales, over pay and working conditions.
An estimated 25,000 paramedics and call handlers from three major unions have begun a mass walkout. Government ministers and Health officials have warned lives could be threatened as a result of the action, as emergency services are forced to run a reduced service.
