Alleged Lockerbie bomb maker will not face death penalty

US prosecutors say they will not seek the death penalty for the Libyan
intelligence officer accused of making the bomb which killed 270
people in the 1988 Lockerbie disaster.

Abu Agila Mohammad Mas'ud Kheir al Marimi appeared in a US court on
Monday after American officials confirmed over the weekend he was in
their custody.
