India's Supreme Court to decide if affirmative action for economically weak is "constitutional"

Intro:

India's Supreme Court will examine a new government provision that grants a 10 percent quota in government jobs and admissions for the Economically Weaker Section
It refers to those who possess an income of less than $10,000 a year.
It has been argued that the amendment departs from the view that the Constitution should only give out special protections to socially disadvantaged groups - based on India's archaic caste system.
