Ten of thousands of Native American children were separated from their
parents and forced to assimilate in more than 400 schools across the
US, according to a long-awaited report.
The inquiry, commissioned by the Biden administration's first native
American Cabinet Secretary, detailed the brutal conditions, including
beatings and starvation.
